They say if you want to introduce somebody to Miami, take him or her to the Hearts and Stars Gala.
The Little Lighthouse Foundation (LLF) has announced that it will host its 12th annual Hearts & Stars Gala on Saturday, Mar. 19, in the Miami Design District's Jungle Plaza. It features a Twenties-themed party hosted by WPLG-Local award-winning journalist and anchor Louis Aguirre.
CeeLo Green, a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, will give a special performance.
All of the proceeds from this wonderful event will aid LLF's purpose of assisting children and families in South Florida who are facing educational, financial, and medical hardships.
"This gala it's like this inexplicable energy that can't be replicated, and it's always been like that for Hearts and Stars. Every time we put it on, magic happens," said LLF’s Executive Director Jonathan Babicka. "You have to be in this pop-up nightclub under the stars, with the greatest philanthropists. It's not a sit down, Gala. It's youthful and energetic; and everyone's in their zone."
Babicka said the production chose the Roaring ’20s with the slogan "Here We Go Again." He said guests who attend the gala will enjoy speakeasy tents and incredible entertainment featuring dancers and flappers, but that the best thing about the gala is the guests that attend.
"Guests can expect that other attendees will be in their element because they don't need to wear flapperesque attire, but knowing Miami, we're very creative and colorful. We will see some fabulous dresses and tuxedos and top hats and headpieces. So it's like the audience that makes the event," he said.
The event will feature bites from some of South Florida's best restaurants, including Coyo Taco, Delicious Caterer, CHICA, Miso Picante, KOSUSHI, and Potions in Motion, matched with an extravagant production to guarantee guests have a memorable night. There are also incredible liquor partners from Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits offering Tito's Vodka and Casamigos, among other liquors.
Before the night is over, Kieran Bowers –President at Swire Properties– will receive The Little Lighthouse Foundation Shining Light Award, recognizing him as a community member who epitomizes the spirit of giving and significantly advances LLF's purpose. Global Empowerment Mission, an upstanding group that conducts remarkable work in aiding neglected children, will also receive the LLF Volunteer Partner award.
To purchase tickets, visit the event's website. Nightclub-style VIP tables are also available, including ten VIP tickets and unlimited bottle service. Please get in touch with [email protected] or call 305-401-3949 with any questions.
"The Gala is like the ultimate schmooze fest because everyone's going to be super tapered, and It's outside in this beautiful Miami weather looking stunning and just the ability to be with friends and the little lighthouse family, it's very Miami in my opinion," Babicka said.
