South Florida’s art scene evolves each and every season, bringing some amazing exhibits and fairs to life. MAD Arts is excited to present a five-day immersive art, light, video and sound experience. During the fair, there will be three days of immersive and open to the public events. This experience celebrates contemporary artists and designers while exploring the vast crossroads of technology and art.
The exciting event series kicks off on January 24 with a private preview of the never-before-seen exhibitions. This will also give invitees the opportunity to discuss the installations with MAD founder, Marc Aptakin. Aptakin is a leader in the South Florida art world and founded MAD Studios in 2016. The goal was to house studios and galleries which explore and strengthen the artistic elements of the creative community.
On January 26, the exhibitions open to the public, allowing individuals to immerse themselves in this special grouping of work. The Ignite Opening Night is taking place at the Museum of Discovery & Science, where exhibitions include outdoor art, light projections by Glowing CBulbs and MAD Labs.
On January 28, attendees are welcome to the Ignite Artists Meet And Greet, at the MAD Studios. Featured artists taking part in the meet and greet include David Carson, Susan Narduli and Edison Penafiel.
This family-friendly experience is the best way to step into the world of immersive art while educating yourself on leading contemporary artists.
Aside from the three main events throughout the week, each night from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., downtown Fort Lauderdale will experience a striking outdoor digital art, light and 3D projections show. The Ignite experience is taking place at two locations, downtown at Esplanade Park and the indoor immersive experience at MAD Studios.
The entire five-day event series is completely free, Presented by Broward Cultural Division in Partnership with MAD, allowing all attendees to jump into the immersive art scene. This exciting opportunity blends two strong elements of the local South Florida community; art and technology.
