Jena Sims (@jenamsims) shares her favorite things about Miami Swim Week—from this season’s trends to walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway to her must-have beauty products.
Describe Miami Swim Week in three words. Little clothing as possible.
What’s the best part of Miami Swim Week? Walking in the shows.
Poolside or beachfront? Poolside because I want service.
Favorite Swimwear trend right now? My favorite swimwear trend this year is more like 3D elements where they have embellishments on it. I just got one with flowers, and there are actual flowers coming off the bikini top.
The most exciting part of Miami Swim Week? The most exciting part about Miami Swim Week is that I'm going with my dream brand, and I'm walking for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
Describe the perfect Swim Week outfit in three words: Colorful, sheer, and barely there.
Go-to accessory for Swim Week? My favorite must-have accessory for Swim Week is the new Dibs Duo Blush in the shade Starstruck. It gives that new... It's really trendy right now, the sun kiss or sunburn blush look, and it's an orangey tone, which is so not like me, but I've been wearing it a lot lately.
Best spot for post-show drinks in Miami? I love a lobby bar. Catch me at the hotel lobby bar for Swim Week. It is such a scene. But late night, there’s this place called Sweet Liberty. I took Brooks there. I go there with a bunch of my girlfriends. They play Whitney Houston. They play the songs you really want to hear at 3:00 a.m.
One thing you can’t survive Swim Week without? The one thing I'm not forgetting for Swim Week is the Dibs highlighter in Unbothered Bronze. It's currently slathered all over my body. Any part of my skin that you can see right now, it's on.
Which designer are you most excited to see this year? I'm excited to see which designers that SI Swimsuit curates for their runway show because they always bring in brands that I've never even heard of.
