Miami architectural and design firm, Kobi Karp, has worked on some of Miami’s most standout properties over the years including, The Palazzo Del Sol at Fisher Island and The Surf Club in Surfside. Not only does Karp’s firm produces some of the best work locally, but the attention to the health and wellbeing of their employees is unmatched.
Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design has recently teamed up with a few wellness-oriented brands to provide its employees with top-of-the-line amenities and experiences.
In collaboration with Barry’s Bootcamp, the offices have a training area for socially distanced workout classes to be hosted at, as well as a chicken coop, where employees can take a step back and connect with nature and animals throughout the workday.
In addition to this, the office has teamed up with Hästens, the Swedish mattress brand to debut Hästens Wellness Lounge, an in-office Sleep Spa. The wellness lounge lives at Kobi Karp’s AID campus featuring the luxury Maranga bed. Made with natural materials, that help provide better sleep and detoxification, Hästens is at the forefront of the luxury sleep and mattress industry.
The $20,000 mattress is loved by many, including Drake, Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise, and now many of Kopi Karp’s employees. Employees are encouraged to take breaks throughout the day and utilize this luxurious bed, while also getting the opportunity to schedule one-on-one sleep consultations with Hästens sleep experts.
As many companies transition back into in-office work in environments, Karp's attention to the wellbeing and the mental health of its employees should inspire other Miami-based companies. While not all companies need to add a $20,000 mattress to their office, but this eye-opening collaboration gives other workplaces the opportunity to redefine what it means to be in the office through a work, relax and rejuvenate process.
