They say models are born, not made - and no one embodies that more than bombshell Kristina Sheiter. Jetting between her native Russia and adopted hometown of Miami, the elite model proves that it's all in the genes.
Why Miami?
I love the weather. I grew up in Saint Petersburg [Russia], and there are only two weather conditions: rain or snow. So, for me, Miami is like paradise.
Favorite shoot so far?
[The campaign] for European Wax Center (959 West Ave., Miami Beach, 786.534.8005, waxcenter.com). We shot in Miami in a gorgeous house with a baby tiger! I also recently did a shoot for Guess magazine. I’ve always loved the brand’s signature black and white pictures, and now I get to be a part of it.
If you weren’t a model...
I love fashion, so I would probably pursue a career as a designer.
Cheat meal?
Pasta! I like the dishes at Alloy Bistro Gourmet (154 SE First Ave., Miami, 786.773.2742, alloybistro.com). It’s in the cute European-looking area in downtown.
How do you work it off?
Barry’s Bootcamp (1835 Purdy Ave., Miami Beach, 786.888.1699, barrysbootcamp.com). It’s not too hard, even for beginners. Advice to aspiring models? Never give up on your dreams. @kristinasheiter
