KYU Miami has made its mark in the Miami culinary scene with its Asian-inspired wood-fired cuisine. The famed restaurant has just announced its newest venture, KYUZU, their very own branded beer.
KYU has partnered with Miami-based 3 Sons Brewing Co. to bring this exciting project to life. Together, KYU and 3 Sons Brewing Co. have created the ultimate beverage which is a rice lager beer that is treated with fresh Yuzu.
When formulating this delicious new beer, KYU and 3 Sons Brewing Co. wanted to be sure the taste matches seamlessly with the restaurant’s exquisite and flavorful menu. Together, the group has recommended food pairings such as the Korean Fried Chicken, Crispy Pork Belly Steamed Buns, Wagyu Beef Brisket, Crispy Baby Back Ribs and Beef Short Ribs to pair with the KYUZU.
The taste of KYUZU is truly one of a kind, combining hints of citrus and lemongrass, making itself both light and refreshing. The beer can be found in a custom-designed 16-ounce can, whose design draws much inspiration from the notable art mural located on the outside of the Wynwood restaurant.
KYU could not have picked a better brewery to work alongside for this project. 3 Sons Brewing Co. is a father-son business, that emphasizes out-of-the-box brewing, focussing on both flavorful and unique beers. The company has made huge strides since opening in 2011 and having recently opened their first taproom in Dania Beach in 2019.
The KYUZU Lager is denoted as Japanese Rice with 4.8% ABV. 3 Sons Brewing Co. describes the blend as, “A crushable and crispy Rice Lager with refreshing overtones of mandarin orange thanks to a dose of Yuzu fruit.”
