There’s a new artisanal pizza joint in town, and it prides itself in creating pizza as art. Located under the A/C Hotel in Brickell, L’Artisteria Pizzeria offers an elevated pizza experience in an artistically rooted environment. The 2,960-square-foot European-style space boasts vibrant art from local artists, a rustic brick wall and open kitchen.
Founder Colin Seke began his culinary journey in Germany at the age of 16, making pizzas in a backyard and selling them for five euros. After solely relying on takeout services, Seke’s pizza product soon became the town’s hot commodity. Fueled by the passionate feedback, Seke set out to establish a brick-and-mortar pizza restaurant with the help of professional endorsement. L’Artisteria Pizzeria is his culinary dream turned reality.
The commitment to the craft of pizza making is what sets L’Artisteria apart from your average pizza shop. The dough undergoes a 48-hour fermentation process and is scorched at 900 degrees in just 90 seconds using an Italian electric oven, resulting in a fusion of Naples- and New York-style pizza. Only quality ingredients are used in the process, such as Caputo flour and tomato sauce sourced from California.
Guests can choose from an array of pie options, ranging from the timeless Margherita to the bold Honey Calabrese with San Marzano sauce, fior di latte, spicy salami and hot sriracha honey. The indulgent can delight in the Rich Kid pie, a $100 concoction of truffle cream, mushrooms, 24k plated gold, fresh black truffle and roasted hazelnuts.
A selection of red and white wine, rosé, champagne and prosecco are on offer to complement the dimension of each bite. A range of Italian-brewed cold beverages are also available, ranging from Corona and Modelo to Peroni and Stella.
