LOFTY Brickell is creating the first-ever NFT art collective designed specifically for LOFTY condo owners, incorporating digital art into the DNA of the new residential building and passing ownership of a unique NFT to each unit owner.

The announcement serves as the first time a condominium will commission and exhibit an NFT collection throughout the building, as well as the first time unit owners will receive a one-of-a-kind NFT with their purchase.
LOFTY's NFT collection debuts with renowned Miami-based multi-disciplinary artist Carlos Betancourt, whose artworks and installations explore issues of culture, memory, and beauty—and are part of public collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., PAMM Perez Art Museum in Miami, Florida, and Museo de Arte Ponce in Puerto Rico, among others. His well-known and colorful Re-Collections series artworks are collaged pictures that mimic and induce bursts of delight.
"This significant investment in next-generation art aligns with our forward-thinking vision for the future of home ownership," said Harvey Hernandez, CEO of Newgard Development Group. "Whether our owners are already NFT collectors or new to the space, this innovative offering we've added to LOFTY's robust slate of amenities and social spaces will create memorable shared experiences for our residents while delivering added value to our buyer's portfolios."
The digital artwork will be created by local artists who embody Miami's heritage and LOFTY's riverfront location in the heart of Brickell, further demonstrating Newgard's dedication to Miami and its varied population. Each piece in the exclusive NFT collection will reflect the city's diverse evolution as a significant cultural, economic, and technological center in the present and future.
Betancourt's "Re-Collections VIII" series is activated for the first time in the debut series, resulting in an animated set of works with an explosion of movement that appears to bring the artwork to life in spirals of beauty and ecstasy. The piece seems to be a personal collage of visual reminiscences that serve to define one's life path. Even in its briefness, the impact is hypnotizing, as if the flowers and items in the artwork are mirroring brain activities, recalling memories and their significance in shaping our lives.
"The concept of incorporating NFTs by Miami's visual artists into LOFTY's innovative buyer program brings refreshing, invigorating ideas and opportunities into the city's ever-evolving contemporary art dialogue," said Betancourt. "The NFT created for LOFTY is inspired by my Re-Collection series, connecting my experiences in Miami and the Caribbean basin. At its core is an animated kaleidoscopic composition, bursting with collaged imagery that moves as in an eternal dance, constantly blending and mixing to the cultural mutations and syncretism of our times."
Newgard Development Group has a long history of delivering forward-thinking concepts to its projects, most recently pioneering luxury home-sharing condominiums like Natiivo and LOFTY. After the sale, the artwork will be added to each owner's digital wallet, showing them in their units and sharing it with their neighbors for rotating gallery displays in the lobby and communal areas.
LOFTY is the next step in condo ownership, offering luxury, fully finished, and furnished turn-key residences designed to be shared. The 44-story tower includes 40,000 square feet of thoughtfully curated amenities, including a private marina, waterfront dining, members-only social club, resort pool deck and fitness center, indoor/outdoor cigar lounge, co-working lounge, and meeting rooms, as well as a private marina, waterfront dining, members-only social club, members-only social club, resort pool deck and fitness center, indoor/outdoor cigar lounge, co-working lounge, and meeting rooms.
