At the age of only 18, Puerto Rican star Lunay has achieved what many others dream of: chart-topping singles, collabs with Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny, and a very grown up watch collection.

What was your first big purchase?
The Rolex Day-Date. My current obsession is my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.

Who taught you about watches?
I’ve always been a big fan of the watch culture. Many, many people advised and have taught me about watches.

How would you describe your watch wardrobe?
Diverse. I have watches with lots of diamonds and others that are more traditional. Now, I have decided to focus on collecting an even wider variety that will match the style I want to portray at the moment to my fans.

On any given day, what does your watch say about your mood?
The watch I wear always symbolizes that I am having a positive day.

Who are some other young collectors that you admire?
Ed Sheeran! Not only because of his music and how humble he seems, but also because of his watch collection. I’ve seen videos of his sick collection, and to be honest, I would love to have some of the pieces he’s got!

Tell us about the watch you are wearing in this shoot.
It’s my first AP and was custom made for me, so it’s special.

Miami is a big watch town. What is the coolest you’ve seen down here and who was it on?
I was impressed with a Richard Mille that Anuel wore for one of his videos. I admire many of my colleagues because of their success and how they continue to grow this movement worldwide
