Miami is known for bringing some of the most unique dining experiences to life and the newest concept does not disappoint. As a sandwich shop and late-night speakeasy, The Mad Butcher will quickly become a go-to destination to eat, drink and socialize.
Following a soft opening, The Mad Butcher is excited to officially open on April 6, pushing culinary boundaries one step at a time.
Spearheaded by Kim Wood of Norman’s and Coco Coig of Le Chick, these two already know the Miami hospitality scene and are excited to take their expertise to the next level.
By day, the Sandwich Shop is serving some of the most delicious and decadent sandwiches on the market. The menu draws inspiration from 10 of the most popular sandwiches from around the world. Signature menu items include Reuben Brisket, Tennessee Fried Chicken, Bánh Mì, El Cubano, Triple Cheese Truffle, Reina Pepiada, Philly Cheesesteak, Choripan, Vegetarian Shawarma and the Español.
By night, guests will experience the space in an entirely new way. Through a walk-in cooler, guests will immerse themselves into a one-of-a-kind speakeasy lounge, The Club. Inspired by the 1970s, the disco-lit space is set with an amazing music program, high-energy dancing and delicious craft cocktails. Director of Beverage, Andi Cruzatti has created a variety of signature cocktails for The Mad Butcher with offerings such as La Vie en Rose; Rose infused Ketel One Vodka, Lindeman's Framboise Raspberry Beer Reduction, Lime, Fee Brothers Foam Bitters, Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters, Catch Me If You Can; Amass Gin, Simple Syrup, Lime, Ume Plum Liqueur Float, Torched Rosemary, and That’s Amore; Selva Ray Chocolate Rum, Cazadores Reposado Tequila, Fernet Branca Liqueur, Panther Nitro Espresso Coffee.
As a Wynwood resident himself, co-founder Coig knew the area could benefit from a locally-driven sandwich shop and The Mad Butcher was the perfect solution. “There’s just something about having your favorite, local sandwich shop–that walk-up window where the staff knows you by name and has to urge you to alter your order from ‘the regular’,” he explained, “The Mad Butcher promises to deliver that message from front to back with its intimate, disco-themed speakeasy where you’ll also feel at home. It’s a family affair.”
The Sandwich Shop is open daily from 11 a.m until 2:30 a.m., with the perfect hours to indulge for lunch and late-night. The Club is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 p.m., until late. For late-night cocktails, sandwiches and more, The Butcher Shop is redefining casual dining and late-nights in Wynwood.
