Jennifer Hudson has officially been announced as the headliner for the 26th annual Intercontinental Make-A-Wish Ball Miami.
On November 6, ball-goers will arrive at this year's themed Ball, Galactica, which will be inspired by pop-culture, vintage sci-fi films and space science. The Ball has worked with DECO Productions to transform the InterContinental Miami into an amazing space-inspired location of a luxurious galaxy. From the valet, step-and-repeat to the impressively decorated Grand Ballroom, the space will stay completely on theme.
This year’s Ball is chaired by philanthropist Shareef Malnik and emceed by his wife, actress and filmmaker Gabrielle Anwar. Guests will be welcomed by Malnik, Anwar, Glenn Sampert, Gala Host and General Manager of InterContinental Miami and Norman Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
The evening will consist of a lovely cocktail reception and then guests will be brought into the Grand Ballroom for dinner and dancing. Anwar will be emceeing for her 10th year, and throughout the evening Hudson will be giving guests an amazing, intimate concert which is presented by Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation. Following the Ball, InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Nightclub is presented by E11EVEN Miami for the afterparty, with headlining acts from Ja Rule and a fashion runway show by House of Skye.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida’s longstanding mission is, “Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.” The last InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball in 2019 raised $2.5 Million, which brought the entire event's history to $29 Million.
