Maluma is everywhere right now, smashing his performance in Disney’s hit Encanto and prepping for the kick-off of his Papi Juancho tour, but he still found time to pose as the new face of Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 campaign.
Maluma, who played Mariano in the recent Disney film, was pictured on Versace’s Instagram wearing the brand’s collection. He was decked out in bright colors and donned an oversized sport’s jacket to announce his debut.

“Maluma has long been a part of my Versace family, and I’m so excited for him to star in his first campaign with Versace,” Donatella Versace was quoted in Billboard. “I loved the way he played with the camera, and the fact that he was as much at ease in front of the camera as he is in front of a stadium full of people singing his songs.”

He’s the perfect man for the role. Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 menswear collection are dreamy and romantic, and so is the singer-songwriter’s catalog.
Of the images released so far, Maluma is pictured with an oversized Versace “varsity” jacket in faded red with patches and lettering. He can be seen wearing two similarly bold outfits: a bright pink suit and an emerald green dress vest. The looks appear tailored and casual, with a white square bag with a gold buckle serving as the sole accessory.
This isn’t Maluma’s first time teaming with Versace. The legendary Italian fashion house dressed him for the 2021 Met Gala in a studded and fringed red jacket and pants.
“For me, this is a dream come true to be the face of an iconic fashion house like Versace and continuing to represent Colombia globally through music, fashion and much more,” Maluma was quoted. “Together, we have created memorable moments with custom performance and red carpet looks, magazine covers, and the amazing Met Gala 2021 design. With this campaign, we are creating more memories as a fashion family together.”

Speaking of family, Maluma is even joined in one of the campaign images by a furry friend.
“One of my greatest highlights for 2022 will be my dog Buda in his first campaign with me,” Maluma says. “A man’s best friend joins fashion. This is to have many more memories with my Versace family.”
