The indoor-outdoor restaurant & bar has introduced a revamped menu serving Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine with a late-night party atmosphere.
Located in the heart of Miami’s artistic Wynwood neighborhood, Mayami is a Tulum-inspired restaurant and bar brought to life by hospitality and nightlife veteran Philippe Kalifa. Since opening in November 2020, the Wynwood hotspot has made a name for itself with its ultimate dinner parties and Mediterranean influenced cuisine. The 10,000-square-foot dining destination has attracted some of the biggest names in Latin entertainment and has unveiled a variety of new dining options.
Mayami, which cleverly combines the words “Maya” and “Miami” into one, truly embodies its name by fusing the historical Mayan culture with Miami’s trendy, scenic and metropolitan vibe. Guests leave modern day at the door as they enter the sweeping amphitheater-like room inspired by the Mayan Revivalism of the Art Deco period. Lined with stone sculptures, wood accents and carvings, monumental stairs and traditional mural paintings, the 300-seat indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge features a ziggurat-shaped ceiling that replicates the inside of a Mayan Pyramid.
Led by Executive Chef Juan Carlos Flores, the culinary offerings fuse Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine with fresh seafood dishes. The revamped menus feature innovative selections such as branzino a la sal, a sea salt-crusted whole fish that arrives to the table on flames; sushi rolls with a Mexican twist; hot stone grilled dishes including A5 wagyu; and a 32-ounce prime tomahawk steak made with pickled seasonal vegetables and a veal demi glace. The new brunch menu features unique dishes such as Mayami wagyu sliders, Japanese pancakes, and twists on brunch classics such as filet mignon truffle eggs benedict and huevos rancheros.
South Florida’s ultimate dinner-party destination, Mayami has perfected the concept of merging sophisticated and elevated dining with world-class nightlife and entertainment under one roof. Featuring performances from aerialists and fire dancers to top DJs and live music, Mayami transforms into a celebration destination seven days a week. Its extraordinary weekly programming includes Tuluminati Tuesdays, offering specialty cocktails and unique performances; Ladies Night, serving complimentary cocktails for ladies every Thursday from 7-10 p.m.; Mayami Fridays and Mayami Saturdays, hosting the hottest DJ performances late into the night; and Happy Hour specials, available Monday through Friday from 5-7 p.m. including $1 oysters, $5 signature cocktails, $4 beers, taco bowls starting at $10, wine and champagne specials starting at $5 per glass or $30 per bottle, and hookah for $30.
Mayami is located at 127 NW 23rd St, Miami, FL 33127. It’s open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m to 3 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 a.m.
