The beginning of December is an exciting time for Miami with Art Basel and Miami Art Week taking our city by storm. From innovation to artistry, the city combines some of the best exhibitors, artists and galleries in the world to create an amazing celebration of art. This year’s celebrations take place on November 30 through December 5. We have put together an extensive list of must-attend exhibits and events throughout the week.

Art Miami is returning for its 31st season with new and exciting exhibits. This fair is widely known as one of the most prestigious contemporary art fairs in the world, with installations from 135 international galleries from 17 countries. 2021 exhibitors include Oliver Cole Gallery, Rosenfeld Gallery New York & Miami, Oliver Cole Gallery and many more.

As sister fair of Art Miami, CONTEXT is returning for its ninth season and art lovers are very excited. This fair is very unique in its exhibitions, displaying a wide variety of emerging, mid-career and cutting-edge artists. CONTEXT is an open space to inspire conversation with artists and collectors alike while continuing to push boundaries in contemporary art.

This Art Basel marks SCOPE’s 20th anniversary, featuring an amazing group of diverse contemporary exhibitors. A new addition to the exhibits offerings this year is The New Contemporary Presents, which will be a highly experiential program located in the Atrium. This will bring together SCOPE’s commitment to wellness through music performances, panel discussions, guided meditations and more.

In honor of Miami Art Week, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, The Frost School of Music at The University of Miami and the Lowe Art Museum have come together to present, Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition. This amazing and moving orchestrated performance has been inspired by the works of many contemporary artists. Together, these impressive institutions are combining music and art for a special evening and performance.

Museum of Graffiti Beachside is excited to announce its newest exhibit during Art Basel, 10 Outta 10, by the Few and Far All-Female Graffiti Crew. This amazing group of artists are celebrating their 10th year together and are widely known for redefining the art of the street, women promoting social justice and inspiring other women.

Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) is excited to announce its latest exhibit, just in time for Art Week, My Name Is Maryan. This eye-opening exhibit portrays the works of Maryan through a monographic presentation of four decades of paintings, sculptures, drawings and film.

This expanded exhibit will feature 15 new artists, with works in mediums including painting, sculpture and photography. The acclaimed exhibition which was originally shown at Jeffrey Deitch Los Angeles last year, and celebrates the work of emerging artists of color. This impressive exhibition welcomes a new generation that connects art with a new audience, where all artists are very socially engaged and tend to bring powerful messages into their work.

The Museum of Graffiti is bringing French graffiti and tattoo artist FUZI’s work to life during an Art Week exhibit. FUZI has a very unique style of work, bringing his tattoo techniques to the canvas to create one-of-a-kind art. In addition to his amazing work on the walls, FUZI will be giving out complimentary tattoos on opening day, on a first come first serve basis.

This year’s Miami Art Week Wynwood Walls theme is Agents of Change. Over the course of the week, 13 new installations will be debuted at the world-renowned Wynwood Walls. In addition to the new mural installations, Brooklyn-based artists FAILE will debut their solo show inside the GGA Gallery.

Shutterstock is celebrating its collaboration with famed artist, Bradley Theodore at the W Hotel South Beach. The exhibition will display some of Theodore’s most beloved work from Shutterstock’s premium collection including portraits of Andy Warhol, Audrey Hepburn and Charlie Chaplin. An event you don't want to miss, Theodore will also be performing a live DJ set throughout the evening.

Artefacto is celebrating the opening of its new flagship, in honor of the company’s 45th anniversary. The newest collection by Patricia Anastassiadis will be celebrated in the beautiful two-story, 40,000 square foot showroom.

La Prairie is heading to Art Basel for the first time this year, with a one-of-a-kind beach club experience. This beachfront installation will feature a variety of La Prairie's Swiss Luxury House products through a relaxing afternoon with beauty treatments, umbrellas and lounge chairs.
