With the world beginning to move into a new digital space, many disciplines are following suit, including art. NFTs are a large part of this development into the digital space and have quickly become a rising attraction in the art world. This year’s Miami Art Week and Art Basel celebrations are moving in that direction with a variety of NFT based exhibitions throughout the week. We have rounded up some of the must-see NFT exhibits.
1901 Convention Center Dr. / Website
Tezos, a leader in the energy-efficient blockchain space is excited to bring their expertise in NFT’s to life this Art Basel. This interactive experience will allow visitors to experience NFTs in a new space, while also having the chance to collaborate with an algorithm that has been embedded into the space. Leading artists in the space will have their work featured throughout the exhibit including Helena Sarin, Matt DesLauriers, Sutu, Iskra Velitchkova and many more. The exhibit will also encourage attendees to create and mint their own NFTs on-site at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

SCOPE has partnered with widely recognized, YellowHeart, a pioneer in the digital marketplace to create the first of its kind in NFT ticketing. These NFT minted Platinum and General VIP tickets are a celebration of SCOPE’s new program, which aims to present artists that help define the cultural landscape, across many creative mediums. This exciting collaboration is in celebration of SCOPE’s 20th anniversary.

NFT Basel is a day-long symposium to help educate and excite the community about the world of digital art. The team has strategically planned this event in conjunction with one of the most important weeks in the art community. With a variety of high profile trailblazers for the NFT world, speakers include Ducan and Griffin Cock Foster, Co-founders of Nifty Gateway, Justin Blau a musician and co-founder and CEO of Royal and Matt Medved co-founder and CEO of NFT Now, to name a few.

Mister E is known in both the Miami community and globally for his colorful rendition of the $100 bill. The artist, a staple at SCOPE, will return this season with a twist on his classic artwork. This year, Mister E’s work will combine both his digital and physical work, for the first time. Attendees will have the chance to physically walk into his NFT; 100 will be his first digital release.

This one-of-a-kind and first-ever, NFT Art and Music Festival is coming to Miami. The four-day event will feature top-notch music and artistry. Headliners for the weekend include DIPLO, Guy Gerber and BLOND:ISH, and the NFT-exhibits will be presented by FTX and The Art Plug. During each night of the event, in-person and online sales of NFT’s on FTX’s marketplace will be taking place, in collaboration with Miami-based, The Art Plug. This event combines two amazing sectors of the art world and is a step in the right direction.

Run by former MLB player, Micah Johnson, Aku World is set to be a three-day interactive NFT exhibit. The exhibit will feature a variety of elements including Aku’s Helmet, Merch Room, The Minting Room, Crypto Wallet, and curated exhibitions by young Black artists including Jade Yasmeen, Asiko, Floyd Strickland and Solomon Omogboye. This interactive experience will allow attendees to sign up for their own crypto wallet, collect NFTs and purchase digital artwork by Raf Grassetti.
