Colombian beauty Daniela Botero had graced the covers of Vogue, Maxim, and Rolling Stone. But between jetting across the globe and shooting her first film, the models feels most at home in the Magic City.
Tell us how you were discovered.
Seven years ago, I was studying and babysitting three kids in Paris at a restaurant I love called Coffee Parisien when my [now] agent from Eskimo Models approached me.
When I have the opportunity to travel to new places and work with amazing people, those are the best.
I travel so much. When I arrive back home, I want to feel relaxed. You can’t always find that in other big cities.
Pilates! You work out all your muscles and get a fit dancer’s body. I like Pilates ProWorks. I also do spinning twice a week; I love SoulCycle and RedBike.
I adore chocolate. I went to Quinto La Huella and I had the volcan de chocolate. Sometimes you just need it!
Thoughts on social media?
Fashion is changing. It’s about influencers more than ever before, and brands want people with followings. When I started growing my social media, I also started getting more work.
You’re also breaking into acting…
It’s my dream! I went to Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York, and now I’m going to Mexico to shoot a small part for a film. I can’t tell you yet!
Who inspires you?
Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, and Natalie Portman. They are all super sexy but also elegant and intelligent.
You starred in the music video for "Bobo." What was it like working with J Balvin?
It was so much fun! He is very easygoing, and we became good friends. I admire him and love his music.
