The tennis world has undoubtedly become fashionable, and 27-year-old social media personality Morgan Riddle (@moorrgs)is at the forefront of the game’s style scene. With nearly a million followers across all social platforms, it makes all the sense that she owns the title of the most famous woman in men’s tennis.
While the world knows her for supporting her professional tennis player boyfriend, Taylor Fritz, it is important to note that this fashion-forward star is breaking barriers and changing the narrative for women in sports by using her platform for advocacy. Producing content far beyond tennis-core style, Riddle creates a new way for women to view tennis.
“My content is about creating a new way of experiencing an entire sport and lifestyle, making it feel more welcoming and accessible to women,” Riddle shares. “I’ve always used my platforms to speak up about what I believe and don’t shy away from controversial takes both within tennis/sports and out of it.”
With her influence extending far beyond the tennis court, Riddle uses her voice to speak on a panel at the tournament, discussing female empowerment in sport, which coincides with International Women’s Month.
“Over the last few years, I think I’ve uniquely bridged the worlds of high fashion, sports, and digital culture in a way that feels fresh, aspirational and accessible,” she shares. “This has been able to reshape how women and younger audiences interact with tennis, making it feel chic and stylish.”
Riddle, who shares an apartment in Miami with longtime boyfriend and tennis professional Taylor Fritz, is returning to her part-time home ahead of the Miami Open.
“It’s a super fun tournament, and it’s so nice not to be in a hotel for a tournament! I love that they bring in some of my favorite local Miami restaurants, and it’s great for the city,” she reflects about the upcoming matches. “We can stay at our condo here; I can have a lot more structure and routine during this tournament. Our neighborhood has amazing workout classes, coffee, and food options. The tournament itself is pretty similar to other masters-level events.”
As a rising force in the fashion scene, Riddle is taking her talents to the next level by joining Vogue as a contributor on their app and previously showcasing her talents with a digital series partnership with Wimbledon, Wimbledon Threads, Riddle profiled fashionable spectators at one of the most popular tournaments in the game.
“I love being on camera and being able to interact with tennis fans in that sort of atmosphere. It’s such a fun tournament, and the team there has been amazing,” the style icon notes.
Collaborating with brands such as Miu Miu, Wilson Lottie NYC, David Yurman and more, Riddle has made a global impact on the fashion scene, even helping coin the term “quiet luxury.” So, of course, we had to ask about her favorite look worn courtside.
“I wore a Tod’s jacket and maxi skirt at Wimbledon this year that I adored,” she shares. “We added a little strawberry charm to the belt as a cheeky but stylish nod to my favorite part of the tournament. Another favorite outfit of mine was the Thom Browne look I wore for the semi-finals at the U.S. Open this year. I wouldn’t necessarily say I have one fashion inspiration—I look to Pinterest a lot.”
Riddle, who spends most of her time traveling, has fully embraced the “WAG” term thrust upon her. However, it is clear that her passion for the game runs deep, as does her desire to bring authenticity to the content she creates. What started as a Get Ready With Me video at the Australian Open three years ago has catapulted into a strong and loyal following, fashion partnerships, participation in Netflix’s docuseries “Point Break,” and much more.
“I’ve always stayed extremely authentic and true to what I am genuinely interested in and wanted to talk about from the start. I think a lot of content creators will adjust their “aesthetic” and interests depending on what they think will “perform” well on social media, but that’s never been the goal for me,” she shares.
So what’s next for tennis’s fashionable It Girl?
“Hopefully, seeing Taylor win another big title! I have some exciting events this year in the sports world that will expand outside of tennis,” she says. “Last year, my goal was to get into F1 content, and I was able to attend six races and learn a ton. I hope to do more of that this year and have as much fun as possible while doing it!”
