“I knew I needed someone eager, open-minded and filled with ambition,” notes Mathieu Massa, Mr. Hospitality founder and CEO. “Chef Jouhannaud has proved to be that missing piece and an already invaluable addition to the team. His steadfast leadership skills and unwavering dedication will be a driving force in elevating Mr. Hospitality’s culinary approach with a greater, more superior fine-dining focus.”
Drawing from his vast culinary experience, including international expertise helming award-winning restaurants worldwide, Jouhannaud plans to completely reinvent the dining menus and Marion (@marionmiami), El Tucán (@eltucanmiami) and lend his talents to a new culinary destination currently in the works.
“I’m honored to take on this new role with Mr. Hospitality’s team and become an integral part of the brand’s already exceptional culinary experiences,” shares Julien Jouhannaud. “I’m excited to jump in and fully immerse myself into each uniquely different concept and create something truly special and significant for guests at each.”
While working in Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse à l'Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo, Monaco, Jouhannaud learned the inner workings of a Michelin-starred restaurant. He later relocated to Las Vegas, overseeing a kitchen of 20 cooks, serving more than 500 diners a night. Over the years, Jouhannaud traveled across Asia, learning and exploring new cuisines before moving back to the United States to help open restaurants in D.C and New York City.

The French native is now bringing his talents to the Miami culinary scene, revamping the menus of some of Miami’s exciting dining experiences. New dishes coming to Marion, the upscale Brickell dining destination, include American wagyu sirloin, Scottish salmon and bigeye tuna tartare. On the other hand, the Asian-inspired supper club El Tucán will have new delectable selections, including charcoaled baby back ribs, guacamole tahini and desserts such as the mizo white chocolate hazelnut cookie.
