The Italian designer, seen here in Paris last March, unveils his second exclusive collection for the integrated luxury retailer in honor of his Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion.
Neiman Marcus unveiled an exclusive new collection from iconic designer Brunello Cucinelli inspired by the golden age of Hollywood. The collection, aptly named Hollywood Glamour, marks the end of a year-long celebration of Brunello Cucinelli receiving the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion.
One of the largest exclusive collections the brand has ever created for the retailer, it’s available in 32 doors and online. It includes 68 styles across women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes and handbags.
Designed by Brunello Cucinelli in collaboration with his daughters Carolina and Camilla—a powerhouse of glamour that has influenced some of fashion’s most iconic looks for more than a century—the collection is imbued with Hollywood’s legacy. Each piece in the collection has been carefully studied to ensure seamless and versatile styles that bridge the Brunello Cucinelli DNA with red-carpet inspiration, elevating casual daywear to new heights and complementing evening looks with iconic flair.
The collection “draws inspiration from an image of shapes and colors that fascinate us: the sophisticated and timeless elegance of the Hollywood Golden Age,” says Cucinelli. “Each piece was deliberately designed in our Solomeo headquarters to embody a concept of contemporary, balanced and versatile elegance, as well as to celebrate the mastery of Italian craftsmanship, which we try to represent at its best.”
Collection highlights for women include new vertical paillette stripe treatments on jackets and sweaters, feathered flapper dresses, gowns, and crafted artisan knitwear. On the men’s side, standout pieces include formal jackets, overcoats, double-breasted suits, and jackets in many new fabrication combinations. Hollywood Glamour features unique and ornate collector items designed with the loyal Cucinelli customer in mind.
This is the second exclusive collection Brunello designed for Neiman Marcus in celebration of his award. In the spring, he unveiled the Icon Collection to great acclaim, with some customers purchasing every piece in the collection. To celebrate the launch of Hollywood Glamour, Brunello, along with Lana Todorovich hosted Neiman Marcus' top customers for an intimate dinner in Los Angeles. This is the second personal appearance Brunello has made for Neiman Marcus this year, proof of the strength of the relationship between the Italian designer and the luxury retailer.
“Brunello Cucinelli has been a loyal brand partner for over 20 years, creating coveted exclusive collections and experiences for our customers to make their lives extraordinary,” said Lana Todorovich, chief merchandising officer of Neiman Marcus. “Spring's Icon Collection and Dallas customer activation surpassed our expectations, showcasing not just the power of timeless design and exquisite craftsmanship, but the enthusiasm of our Cucinelli customers.”
Neiman Marcus invites customers to shop the Hollywood Glamour collection across all three facets of its integrated retail model. As part of Neiman’s retail-tainment strategy, customer events are planned in 11 markets across the country. Customers can also experience the collection on the retailer’s digital channels including the Neiman Marcus App which will celebrate the collection’s launch with a brand content takeover that includes exclusive styling content by Brunello Cucinelli specialists.
The reimagined Neiman Marcus Awards are more than a recognition program. It is a modernized platform focused on connecting customers with immersive experiences and exclusive collections from the world’s most desired brand partners, while also celebrating fashion luminaries. Additional program honorees this year include Amina Muaddi of her namesake brand, and Jonathan Anderson of LOEWE. Amina Muaddi recently designed her first exclusive collection for a retail partner and traveled to Los Angeles for her first U.S. in-store customer appearance to celebrate her award. Jonathan Anderson will unveil an activation with the retailer next spring.
“The Neiman Marcus Awards platform is an extension of our growth strategy to revolutionize luxury experiences and celebrate brand partners who share our approach to retail and purpose-driven commitment to creating impact,” said Ryan Ross, president of Neiman Marcus, and head of NMG Customer Insights. “Brunello has made a significant impact on the fashion industry and through this reimagined program, we have been able to connect the brand to our luxury customers in new and innovative ways.”
