The Champagne Bar at The Surf Club, which shares its iconic Miami home with Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, is welcoming an Italian coffee bar concept rooted in the southern European morning ritual of going to the 'bar' for a quick caffè, perhaps something to eat, and a brief chatter.
The coffee aroma, the sound of fresh coffee grinding, the display of beautiful pastries, and the Barista ready to take your order will transport you to an actual caffè in Italy as soon as you approach the palm-fringed and sunlit Champagne Bar.
From cappuccinos to macchiatos, classic espresso-based beverages are produced with coffee from Per'La Specialty Coffee Roasters, a local Miami company that promises farm-to-cup service. Beans are roasted daily to perfection in the Miami roastery, which sources the highest quality rare Arabica coffees from farms worldwide.
Armando Parker, the head barista, is a native of Central America, a region recognized for its high-quality coffee varietals. With 15 years of experience, Parker understands the significance of this complex bean firsthand. He is certified by the Barista Guild of America, and has specialized in latte art in two Coffee Schools in Chicago and Pennsylvania. Parker takes pride in his daily efforts to maintain coffee consistency and make each guest's favorite beverage expertly.
Taste the notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and raspberry in each coffee creation and the distinct aroma while pleasantly situated in the Champagne Bar with a view of nature via old arched windows. A daily assortment of pastries such as foccacina (seasoned Italian flatbread), little almond or chocolate croissants, mini raisin bread, and pizzetta Marguerita complement this coffee sensory experience (mini pizza).
Guests and locals are invited to have breakfast the Italian way at the Coffee Bar at the Champagne Bar, which is now open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Reservations are not required.
