Tropenzón, Española Way’s gin and tapas gem, is now open for lunch! Since opening earlier this year, Tropenzón has established itself as a go-to dinner spot known for its cowboy-inspired design, Spanish tapas cuisine, and collection of house-infused gins. Now, beginning October 14, patrons can enjoy an entirely new lunch menu curated by Executive Chef Juan Garrido served Friday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch at Tropenzón will showcase Chef Juan’s creativity and dedication to technique as he delivers traditional Spanish flavors in an approachable, flavorful bill of fare.
Guests can choose their mid-day meal from sought-after sections: tapas (small shareable plates), ensaladas (salads), bocadillos (sandwiches), and dulce (dessert). Highlights from the celebrated tapas section include fan favorites like chorizo de iberico, manchego cheese, spanish tortillas with onion, papas bravas, and much more. Pair the meal with greens such as a gem lettuce salad with white vinaigrette and red onion or a tomato salad with white onion, parsley, and Pedro Ximenez.
The true star of the contemporary spread is the Bocadillos section. Featuring large plates such as the Bonito with Spanish tuna, marinated and roasted peppers, and aioli, the Escalivada with roasted and marinated eggplant, peppers, zucchini, pickled red onion, and arugula, and the Denver Steak with Piquillo aioli, idiazabal cheese, papitas, green olive chimichurri, and pickled red onions, this section is packed with flavor, boasting the most highly-anticipated offerings.
Tropenzón also offers guests weekly and monthly happenings like Paella Sundays and Tonic & Tapas. As they always say, Sundays are for paella, and on the last Sunday of every month, Tropenzón hosts its Paella Sunday with a special paella menu and a Spanish wine pairing. At $55 per guest, the all-you-can-eat special is ideal for parties of any size and available in every area of the charming eatery. Reservations for the next installment on October 30 are available now via resy. If your Sundays look more boozy than brunch, enjoy Tonic & Tapas, available Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Honoring true tapas culture, with each ordered beverage comes a complementary, chef’s-choice tapa that changes daily.
