Miami is quickly ascending the ranks as a culinary hub as Michelin-starred chefs tap the city for their growing restaurant portfolio. Now, Novatore Cucina & Bar is bringing a refined Italian dining experience to Wynwood, combining authentic Italian heritage with modern innovation. Helmed by Michelin-recognized chefs Andrea Bernardi and Fernanda Fuentes-Cárdenas, alongside executive chef Marco Rama, Novatore brings authentic Italian cuisine across the Atlantic.
Nestled within the growing culinary scene of the Arts District, Novatore merges Roman-inspired design with contemporary elegance. lime-washed walls, walnut furnishings and arched mirrors create a warm, inviting atmosphere, while a centrally placed wine room anchors the space. Evoking Italian elegance through the neutral color scheme and Roman-style columns, the space exudes the country’s hospitality. Outside, a covered terrace adorned with 20 planters of aromatic herbs offers an alfresco escape, infusing the air with natural fragrances. Complete with a thoughtfully designed layout and striking design components, Navatore’s ever-changing ambiance offers a relaxed and bright setting for a mid-day meal to an intimate retreat for dinner.

Helmed by Marco Rama—previously running Italy's Michelin-starred Andreina—the menu showcases housemade pasta, bread and desserts crafted with imported Italian ingredients and Florida-sourced produce. With dishes balancing Italy’s rich heritage while embracing modern culinary techniques and incorporating playful components, each dish offers a gastronomic journey. Signature dishes include charcoal-finished smoky Cacio e Pepe, a reimagines seafood-forward Gnocco, made from potato dumplings and stuffed with fish and shrimp, or the indulgent Aragosta e Midollo, a bold pairing of lobster and bone marrow, blending tradition and creativity.

“My grandfather, Novatore, believed that a good table, good company, and good food were more valuable than anything,” says chef Andrea Bernardi. “At Novatore, we carry forward his legacy by creating an experience that blends Italian heritage with modern techniques, where every dish is crafted with the same passion and authenticity that shaped my upbringing.”
The beverage program, led by mixologist Cristian Novelli, brings Italian cocktail culture from Rome to Miami. Set to launch in the coming months, the menu will feature classic Italian aperitifs, such as a Spritz and Sbagliato, along with cocktail flights designed to take guests on a journey through Italy. Complementing the drinks is a 130-label wine selection curated by Sommelier Leonardo Asensos, showcasing a mix of Italian and international vintages.
