Offering a multisensory experience, Ōkami Restaurant and Tsuki Lounge brings Nikkei cuisine and an omakase experience like no other. The Design District dining destination’s name, Ōkami, derives from the Japanese word for “great wolf.” The impeccable attention to detail is reflected in the food and the space itself. Complete with a main dining room, bar, second-floor lounge and various murals, the layout transports diners to an earthy and elevated environment, offering a fusion of Japanese cuisine with Peruvian flavors.
Named Best Nikkei Restaurant of 2022, Ōkami serves worldwide flavors led by an all-star team. One of the restaurant’s dining delicacies is the ceviche tuna Nikkei. Created by chef Manuel Tenguan Asato, the dish is exclusive to Ōkami, featuring a unique blend of yellowfin and bluefin tuna. Marinated in tiger’s milk ponzu with hints of yuzu, cilantro and shiso leaves, the dish incorporates a fresh Japanese flair. With traces of sweet potato, chullpi corn and avocados, Asato balances the intricacies of Japanese cuisine with Peruvian favorites. 156 NE 41st St., Miami, @okamimdd
