The team has merged sustainable design with timeless materials imported from Italy to highlight the natural features that define Miami's beauty, creating spaces with a strong sense of identity throughout the 41-unit beachfront condo. Onda is an experience steeped in nature from the moment tenants enter, encapsulating the essence of the deep blue sea and tropical greenery that surrounds the condo's location with the following vision:
A Natural Ethos: For the lobby's design, the team at A++ used natural, neutral tones, and materials, including floor-to-ceiling light wood paneling with marble stucco and gold accents, as well as mid-century style furnishings. Throughout the common areas, tenants and visitors will find raw materials such as marble, ivory, and wood combined with warm metals such as brass, bronze, and copper to create a minimalistic and pristine ambiance. The ultimate goal is to create environments that amplify well-being and transmit a soothing feel to residents. With terrazzo, wave-like shapes, textiles, and wood everywhere, the gym, spa, and yoga area will exude a sense of well-being.
An Experience Immersed in Nature: Residents may enjoy panoramic views of the ocean from the condo's rooftop, surrounded by lush green landscape, wood, and limestone. The team used a natural color palette for the outdoors, including beige, grey, natural tones of light brown, and marble, wood, and stone features.
Embodying Nautical Beauty: Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica created the architectural concept for Onda, which is the Italian term for "wave." The residences were designed with the ocean and stunning bay views in mind, and A++ worked with the team to incorporate the waves of the building's façade into the interiors. Residents will feel as if they are on the deck of a ship because the residences face the water. Residents may also enjoy outdoor living and the sea wind thanks to the condo's dynamic design, which includes expansive terraces. The building's sweeping soft curves mimic the aerodynamic characteristics of an Italian yacht, and a sequence of soft undulating projections on the exterior represent the gently tiny waves that the ship creates on the ocean.
Developed by veteran Miami developers Ugo Colombo of CMC Group and Valerio Morabito of Morabito Properties, Onda is a new boutique luxury condominium in Miami's prestigious Bay Harbor Islands. The 8-story waterfront complex is already rising at 1135 103rd St. The residences will have more than 300 linear feet of bay frontage, a private marina, and magnificent views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Onda's 41 immaculate residences will come in two to four bedrooms plus den layouts ranging in size from 1,809 to 3,535 square feet, and four penthouse residences ranging in size from 5,073 square feet — two of which feature private rooftop pool decks. The prices range between $1.8 million and $9.5 million.
Bay Harbor Islands is one of Miami's most sought residential areas, located just west of the world-class shopping hub Bal Harbour Shops. The elite two-island waterfront enclave is two miles north of Miami Beach and is bordered by Indian Creek Island, a private island nicknamed "Billionaire Bunker" because of its celebrity residents. The family-friendly neighborhood also has plenty of parks and green spaces near one of Miami-Dade County's best schools. A lovely small-town community close to some of Miami's most exclusive boutiques and restaurants and breathtaking waterfront vistas.
Onda's private marina, which has boat berths ranging from 35 to 60 linear feet, is one of the residences' most popular amenities. The project will also have a water sports launch pier with kayaks, paddleboards, inflatables for rent, and direct ocean access via Miami's Haulover inlet.
A rooftop pool deck and bar area will be available, as well as a cutting-edge fitness facility with Technogym equipment, a yoga studio, a spa with massage treatment rooms, changing facilities, and steam bath and sauna rooms. Onda will also offer personalized services, cutting-edge technology and security, a front desk, a covered valet drop-off area, personal parking spots, electric car charging stations and bicycle storage, and home storage space. The building will include an integrated digital concierge, free WiFi in all public areas, and FTTH (fiber to the home) technology for voice, video, and high-speed internet.
All residences will include an office/den, private and semi-private high-speed elevators, floor-to-ceiling, impact-resistant sliding glass doors and windows, spacious tiled terraces with private gardens, fully-accessorized Snaidero kitchens with top-of-the-line Miele appliances, bathrooms with Italian marble and wood cabinetry, exquisite Italian flooring throughout, and energy-efficient air conditioning and heating.
The interiors of Onda – which is also the Italian word for "wave" – were designed by Carlo and Paolo Colombo of A++ Human Sustainable Architecture. The lush landscaping was designed by award-winning landscape architect Enzo Enea of Enea Garden Design.
Onda benefits from the experience and tracks record of CMC Group's Ugo Colombo and Morabito Properties' Valerio Morabito — two world-class developers driven by their Italian instincts for quality, style, and craft. Colombo and Morabito previously collaborated on Beach House 8, an adjacent boutique waterfront condo complex on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, in 2016. Brickell Flatiron, a 64-story luxury tower in Downtown Miami's Brickell Financial District, was just completed by Colombo and CMC Group.
The project began in late 2021 and is projected to be completed in 2023. To learn more visit the website.
