The Italian-made sneaker brand, P448 has made its mark in Miami with its newest storefront.
Located in the new Esmé Hotel on Española Way, the P448 storefront embodies Miami’s bright and youthful culture. The expansion to Miami comes after the success of the brand’s first brick-and-mortar storefront on the iconic 5th Avenue in New York City in September. In addition to Miami, the brand will also be heading to Europe, where it will call Rue de Faubourg St. Honore in Paris home.
The Miami storefront is colorful and vibrant, bringing together the brand's voice. P448 describes itself as, “An Italian footwear brand rooted in the belief that eclecticism, design innovation and experimentation lie at the heart of self-expression.”
Working alongside Miami-based artist, Tatiana Suarez, the Miami location features a large-scale mural that explores the warmth and vibrancy of the local sunsets while also featuring the invasive lionfish. The lionfish denotes P448’s environmental initiatives which they plan to roll out in early 2022. The brand is already putting the environment first with the Better For The Earth collection which explores a variety of shoes that are made from recycled suede and recycled leather.
In addition to the mural by Suarez, they have also teamed up with popular graffiti artists Atomik, Marlon Pruz and Spraying Bricks to customize each of their P448 pillars. These pillars help set the tone for visitors and help make their mark within the P448 community.
Throughout all of its storefronts, P448 focuses on featuring custom local artists and appreciates the local culture present in each individual market. The storefronts act as a gallery and retail space.
Miami is not a new market for P448, as the brand had a pop-up at the famed Showfields on Lincoln Road earlier this year.
With a focus on quality, comfort, style and new environmental initiatives, P448 will embrace the limitless Miami culture and lifestyle.
