Padel for Brain Cancer Miami returns for its second year at Reserve Padel. On Jan. 18, the event, presented by the Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO), serves up fast-paced padel matches paired with a mission to advance brain cancer research.
“We are excited to bring back this high-energy fundraising event to Miami,” says Amber Barbach, founder of the GBMRO and a Forbes 30 Under 30 social impact honoree. “Padel for brain cancer is not just about having fun–it’s about making a real impact in the fight against glioblastoma. We’re committed to raising awareness and funds to support groundbreaking research and advancements in the field.”
Since founding GBMRO in 2018, Barbach has driven the organization to the forefront of glioblastoma research. Last year’s inaugural event raised $45,000, and Barbach shares that this year’s goal is set to exceed that milestone, with 30 teams competing across men’s and women’s divisions.
Set to kick off at 1 p.m. with matches starting at 2 p.m., spectators and participants alike can look forward to enjoying curated food, refreshing drinks, and on-site activations from over 15 sponsors, including Pura Vida Miami, Koia Shakes, Drip Hydration, Bask Suncare, Forte Dei Marmi, and The KOV Miami. Tickets start at $75 for spectators and $400 for teams of two, with all proceeds fueling GBMRO’s mission. Beyond the court, winners will be awarded exclusive prize boxes featuring TWOTWO padel racket, wellness services and leading self-care items.
