As she returns as the Chief Lifestyle Officer for the Miami Open (@miamiopen), Paige Lorenze (@paigelorenze) dives into how tennis influences her brand Dairy Boy (@dairyboy), her must-visit Miami spots, and what’s next for her as an entrepreneur.
You’re back as the Chief Lifestyle Officer for the Miami Open for the second year in a row—what excites you most about this role, and how has your approach evolved since last year?
I was so honored to be invited back for a second year. What genuinely excites me most about the role is showing people how much more there is to experience at these tournaments beyond just the incredible tennis matches. There’s amazing food, fashion, music, and such a fun social atmosphere. I love being able to share that and encourage more people to come and see it for themselves! This year, I feel even more confident in my role and more intentional with how I’m highlighting the lifestyle aspect of the Miami Open, helping bridge the gap between sport, fashion, and culture in an authentic way.
Tennis has clearly played a big role in your life, especially with your longtime partner, Tommy Paul, competing at the Miami Open. How has being immersed in the sport influenced your personal style and approach to wellness?
Being around tennis has definitely influenced my style so much in a way I am grateful for. I truly feel like I’ve found my personal style, and it has, in turn, made my life easier - I feel more confident!
Tennis has made me lean into classic, effortless pieces that feel both sporty, chic, and sometimes preppy. I love mixing vintage tennis elements with everyday fashion. As for wellness, traveling so much for tournaments has really taught me the importance of routine, organization, prioritizing movement, staying hydrated, and making sure I take care of both myself and my work no matter where I am.
Your brand, Dairy Boy, has resonated deeply with fans, blending fashion with an effortlessly cool, lived-in aesthetic. How does the energy of Miami and the Miami Open inspire your designs?
Miami has such a unique energy! I love it here. It is vibrant, a little retro, and effortlessly cool. I love the idea of pieces that feel sun-faded and well-loved, like something you'd throw on after a long day at the beach or court side at a match. The Miami Open and tennis in general is really inspiring to me as I continue to build Dairy Boy as more than just a fashion brand, but a full lifestyle.
You’ve had two incredibly successful pop-ups in NYC for Dairy Boy. Any plans to bring a pop-up to Miami? If so, what would that look like?
I’d love to! Miami feels like the perfect place for a pop-up, especially around the tournament when so many people are in town for tennis and the energy is high. Funny enough, one of our top states for Dairy Boy is Florida! If we do one, I’d want it to feel very immersive, something that really brings the Dairy Boy world to life in Florida. I will keep you posted!
As someone who’s always on the move, what are your travel essentials when heading to major tennis tournaments like the Miami Open? Any must-have fashion or beauty items?
I try to keep it simple but intentional! A great pair of sunglasses is a must, along with a chic but functional bag that fits everything I need on the go. Beauty wise, I always have my full skincare routine’, SPF, a good lip oil, and a hydrating mist for long days in the sun. Shameless non-sponsored plug, but the Clinique Moisture Surge Spray is next level refreshing. Fashion wise, I love easy, sport pieces… a lot of vintage!
Miami is known for its vibrant energy and culture. What are your go-to spots in the city for dining, unwinding, or finding inspiration?
Miami has so many amazing spots! I was telling Tommy that I think it is one of the best food cities in the US! For food, I love Mandolin for a long, relaxed outdoor lunch, and Joe’s Stone Crab is such a classic. For unwinding, nothing beats a quiet morning walk on the beach and some Pura Vida. And for inspiration, I love just being around Tommy and his friends. They are like family to me and everyone around him inspires me!
You’ve built a strong presence in fashion, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship. What’s next for you and Dairy Boy? Any exciting projects or collaborations on the horizon?
There’s so much I’m excited about. Right now, I’m really focused on expanding Dairy Boy as a lifestyle brand, building a super solid essentials / core line that consists of evergreen products that live on our site. I am also so excited about leaning even more into home pieces and timeless essentials -- just continuing to build that world. We’re also working on some really fun collaborations and pop-up experiences, which I can’t wait to share soon.
You’re constantly breaking barriers as a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur. What advice would you give to young women looking to carve out their own path in fashion and business?
Well, thank you so much, first of all! My biggest advice is to fiercely trust your gut and vision, no one else will see it as clearly as you do. Don’t wait until you feel ‘ready’ because that moment may never come. Just start. Take the risk, make mistakes, and embrace the failures because that’s where the real learning happens.
Have an opinion, and don’t be afraid to stand by it. Some of the most successful businesses and brands were built by people who took unconventional paths. Don’t let the fear of what others think hold you back, at the end of the day, you have to believe in yourself first.
Being an entrepreneur is about adaptability. You’re constantly evolving, learning, and refining your vision as you go. The most important thing is to stay true to what excites you and never lose sight of why you started in the first place. And remember, the thing that makes you different is what makes you valuable. No one else has your exact perspective, creativity, or vision lean into that. As Sophia Amoruso said, ‘Abandon anything about your life and habits that might be holding you back. Learn to create your own luck. Step into the impossible.’ The most successful people aren’t the ones who had it all figured out from the start - they’re the ones who just kept going.
