Just as Miami can be seen as a melting pot where a plethora of cultural influences meets the progression of contemporary culture, the religion of street fashion goes hand in hand with the city’s unrivaled trendsetting power. Going beyond the surface-level notions of most luxury fashion labels, leading power player of streetwear labels Palm Angels has touched down in Miami’s Design District with its first U.S. stand-alone store. Developed through a tight collaboration between its Milan-based creative agency and the brand’s founder and creative director, Francesco Ragazzi, the store design re-creates the atmosphere of a swimming pool through a harmonious blend of unique materials and graphic interventions. From rounded shop windows embellished in mosaic claddings to the ceramic-tiled counter displaying a “No Diving” warning, the theme stays true to its Miami environment while being as smooth as the “laxed-luxe” gear itself.
In typical Palm Angels fashion, furniture and displays are made to be mobile, leaving plenty of flexibility for exhibitions, live performances and upscale events. As the brand’s streetwear science aims to delve deeper into meeting the needs of the modern-day cosmopolitan, Palm Angels puts the urbanites of Miami on the frontline of those priorities.
Within the evolutionary debut of the vibrantly crafted shop, the fashion house welcomes Miami locals and travelers to its new fairyland of skater dreams. 173 NE 40th St., GB-101, Miami, @palmangels
