Designer Sergio Andrés Mendoza
Every ring has a story. But a Pharaoun ring has a story that is deep to the core. To begin, you acquire the perfect Pharaoun dazzler only after a one-on-one consultation with the designer, Sergio Andrés Mendoza. “When I work with you on a ring, I want it to symbolize a version of yourself that you love,” he explains. “Your ring will remind you of that quality, represent it to the world, and be a physical manifestation of how important that part of you is.” Mendoza, a Miami native, founded Pharaoun Jewelry two years ago as a tribute to his mother and his late sister and late wife. And like the women who have inspired him, every design is meant to represent strength and feminism. “I created these rings to help you harness your energy, the charge that tonight will bring, or the memories of perfect nights past,” he says. His latest collection adds another layer of backstory intrigue with jewels hidden behind the main stone. Our pick? Mendoza’s Starry Night ring with a hidden cross, drop-shaped center stone and back enamel details. “My version of god includes both religious teachings and the awe of our universe as revealed through the stars at night. I hope this ring reminds you of your version of faith and the universe we are so blessed to be a part of.” (We weren’t lying when we said deep.)
Pharaoun cocktail rings ($295 to $595) have names like Shield of Athena, Herculaneum and I Am Beautiful, and are meant to empower the wearer, while making a beautiful statement.
