Get ready for summer in style, with Prada’s newest launch of the Tropico collection.
Launched on April 14 at the Miami Design District store is Prada's newest experiential pop-up and capsule collection. The installation will be available in-store through May 9, giving shoppers one of the most unique Prada retail experiences.
Color and texture are at the forefront of this collection from ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories. The ready-to-wear selection includes a beautiful variety of silk blouses, three lengths of skirts, vibrant pajamas, mens shirts and shorts. Perfect for summer, the accessories include striped hats made with raffia, nylon and cotton, as well as the classic Prada Triangle bag which is available in both leather and raffia.

The designs of the merchandise and the storefront go hand in hand, as the space has been redefined with contrasting hues of bright colors, stripes and neon signage. Throughout the space, the Prada triangle logo is highlighted, bringing together urban references with natural elements.
Prada explains the collection as, “An original landscape inspired by the colours and atmospheres of striking distant lands expresses Prada’s key visual traits in the contemporary, ‘pop’ language defining the exclusive pop-up store series Prada Tropico.”
This expressive collection and storefront installation has hit two other major cities in the United States, having opened in New York City’s Broadway location on March 31 and Los Angeles’ Beverly Hills location on April 7. Following the Miami pop-up, the installation heads to other cities in the United States, alongside cities in Asia and Europe.
The capsule collection has reimagined the space of the Design District storefront from the walls to the floors. With bright and colorful stripes across the store and large striped columns, the space has been transformed into the perfect interpretation of the Tropico collection. In addition to the magnificent stripes throughout the space, the centerpiece of the room has also been turned into a luxurious forest, with Prada hats in a variety of colors acting as leaves, suspended in the air on branches and trunks.
The Tropico collection explores some of Prada’s most coveted pieces and designs, which are available to purchase in-store at one of the experiential pop-ups as well as online. With trends forecasting in a very bright fashion, this collection will fit right into any summer wardrobe from head to toe.
The Prada Miami Design District storefront is located at 152 NE 41st St. and will house the quintessential Prada Tropico collection until May 9.
