It’s Presidents' Day Weekend, a.k.a. another long weekend opportunity in Miami abound with art, culture, music and everything luxury—which is especially the case during the action-packed winter season when snowbirds flock to our tropical paradise. In case you find yourself bored and looking for last minute plans, you’re in the right place. From cars to books, there’s an option for all kinds of enthusiasts this weekend.
The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show is one of the most exciting attractions to come to Miami, and it’s easy to guess why if it involves boats. Miamians will never pass up a boat day, let alone the largest boat and yacht event in the world showcasing 1,200 exhibitors across six locations in Miami and Miami Beach—on both land and water. Just like last year, this year’s exhibition is a joint venture between the Miami International Boat Show, the Miami Yacht Show and SuperYacht Miami, where vessels on display range from kayaks and catamarans to powerboats and superyachts from top manufacturers. Hundreds of thousands of attendees will also catch a glimpse of the latest marine technology in the industry and can test drive over 150 sea trial vessels. The Miami Beach Convention Center is the heart of the show, while the rest of the activations can be found at Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina and Yacht Haven Grande Miami.
In the mood to ogle luxury automobiles set against one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in the 305? You’re in luck, because the Miami Concours is back for its sixth year in the Design District—this time in honor of the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini. The glitzy event culminates on Sunday with three signature red carpets featuring sought-after post-war automobiles sprawled across significant streets in the Design District, where art, design and grandeur converge. Stroll past luxury car brands such as Aston Martin, Pagani, Ferrari, Maserati, Jaguar, BMW, Bentley, Rolls Royce and more, and don’t miss the sensational display of Lamborghinis in all of their timeless glory on 39th Street.

You won’t want to miss this three-day-long art extravaganza that takes place along a scenic stretch of Coconut Grove with views of Biscayne Bay and passing sailboats. Over 280 talented artists showcase art across various mediums in the neighborhood that has long been considered Miami’s original art district. Attendees will also be able to witness an exciting cooking demo presented by Kitchen Combat, featuring lively narration by food and beverage photographer Anthony Nader from 52Chefs. And of course, a festival is only as good as its food offerings, which will be available at the Food Village.
The Design District is the place to be this weekend, particularly Paradise Plaza where South Florida’s first international biennial artists’ book fair will showcase the artistic genre known as “artists’ books.” Often lacking words, these artistic creations assume the form of a book and represent a range of cultural traditions, handcrafted by artisans with a complex story to tell through design. Tropic Bound Artists’ Book Fair highlights bookworks from over 60 exhibitors across the world and presents the opportunity to meet and learn from the creators. Visitors can learn about book binding, paper-making, marbling, letterpress printing and additional techniques related to this medium via several artists’ talks taking place throughout the fair.
Hosted by Dacra CEO and President Craig Robins and produced by Emilio Estefan, the Miami Symphony Orchestra presents its free and open to the public community concert outside the Design District’s 100-year-old Moore Building. Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 20, musicians such as the three-time Grammy Award-winner Jon Secada and operatic pop vocal group The Tenors will take the neighborhood stage, surrounded by palm trees, designer stores and a decadent red carpet. Maestro Eduardo Marturet is set to recreate the original 1922 official concert repertoire with Estefan in what is bound to be a magical night of blissful serenading amid a historic backdrop. The Miami Symphony Orchestra is known as the Official Symphony Orchestra of Miami and the Design District concert is supported by Mayor Francis Suarez.
Art Wynwood is Miami’s premier winter contemporary and modern art fair and it’s back for a tenth season this long weekend. Produced by Art Miami, the fair is taking place at coveted waterfront destination One Herald Plaza, coinciding with the Miami Yacht Show. Collectors and art enthusiasts across the spectrum can explore over 50 leading international galleries exhibiting pop surrealism, street art and thought-provoking contemporary work from countries such as England, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Spain and more.
