As the talent behind some of the world’s most recognizable artworks, Romero Britto (@romerobritto) has had quite a career, and he shows no signs of slowing. Known for his vibrant works, Britto’s pieces showcase the beauty he sees in the world.
“I prefer to depict happy and fun scenes, love and hope, and for that, I use my brushes, canvas, and uniquely vibrant colors to pass a message of inspiration to everyone,” Britto says.
A central part of the Miami art scene, Britto’s work is synonymous with the city, and he credits his collaboration with Absolut Vodka in 1989 as a launching pad. Now a global phenomenon, Britto has stores worldwide, including the USA, Mexico and Japan. Founded with a vision to bring happiness into daily lives, his brand’s stores work to encapsulate creativity and joy.

“The new BRITTO stores bring a fresh approach to retail by blending fine art, collectibles and lifestyle products designed by me,” he says. “The dynamic use of vivid color palettes, iconic imagery and lively scenes resonates with a global audience, and now, these beloved elements are interwoven with everyday objects, creating a connection that transcends the boundaries of traditional art.”
Recently opening the new retail concepts in the Aventura Mall and Brickell City Centre, the immersive outlets offer shoppers the opportunity to experience the happiness that Britto infuses in his work. The artist and his CEO and business partner, Dr. Lucas Vidal, have ambitious plans to expand to more than 180 locations in the USA and over 2,000 overseas, reaching a revenue of $1 billion.
Over Art Basel Miami Beach 2023, he proved his influence in the art scene. With seven events, including product launches such as the Britto Gelato with Quore to installations and collaborations, including his work with Aston Martin, the artist merged his interests.

“I have always been passionate about fast cars, and collaborating with such a prestigious brand like Aston Martin for Art Basel Miami Beach was awesome,” he says. “Their new DBX707 is a cool and powerful piece of art itself. The custom and main artwork created will now be displayed in New York and possibly London.”
With his work now superseding the art world, Britto is set to open a restaurant, Love by Britto, next month on the newest ship from The Love Boat (Sun Princess), that merges artwork and food together for an unparalleled experience.
“We’ve created a one-of-a-kind experience that showcases the harmony between food, art and the universal language of love, to create an experience that’s meant to be savored,” Britto says.
Proving to be a busy year for the talent, Britto is also launching a skincare line made in Spain, taking on the challenge of developing a technology-focused brand with high-quality natural ingredients.
“BRITTO Skin primes for transparency and wants to empower the customer to know what they wear on their skin every day,” he says.

But he still isn’t done. With an upcoming documentary film set to stream in March, Britto is preparing to share his life’s story and art trajectory.
“It looks amazing and has been almost two years in the making with the participation of friends like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Martha Stewart, DJ Khaled, Andrea Bocelli, Marc Anthony, Domenico Dolce, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, chef Daniel Boulud, Ronaldinho Gaucho and others,” he says.
Of course, his roots will always be in Miami, the location of his most significant art studio. With more than 60,000 square feet, where VIP collectors can come, he hopes to one day open an even larger Britto Museum that will be open to all, honoring his historic career.
