Discerning genuine talent from passing fads in today’s vast sea of digital personalities is becoming increasingly harder. While many claim versatility, few actually succeed. Meet Sasha Anne. More than just a face on Instagram or a voice on the indie pop charts, she is the answer to monotony. A dynamo in her own right, she embodies the essence of a modern-day renaissance woman.
“I’m a very ambitious person and artsy. I like to do a lot of things that I’m good at,” Sasha shares. This is not a humble brag but a statement of fact. A talented YouTuber, influencer, indie pop singer, actress, and makeup artist, she has many talents. From viral songs to interesting projects, Sasha always had some surprises to offer since she discovered her passions.
Born and raised in New York, she launched her YouTube channel at 13, setting off on a journey that saw her ascend multiple entertainment ladders. By 2018, she was a Shorty Award finalist and, the following year, the Winner of the Audience Award for her Wonder Woman video. As part of her Empowering Young Women Campaign, the latter recognition was particularly outstanding because it was a testament to her growing influence despite being a relatively new entrant in the YouTube creators world.
But it was more than accolades in the digital space that turned heads. Sasha’s melodious rendition of "Catch Me, I'm Falling" soared to the top of the indie pop charts, gathering over 100K views within moments of its release. Her original single, "Scars," followed this trajectory, raking in over a million views since its debut last April. Additionally, the song was #1 on the download Music Worx charts for three consecutive weeks. Its Stonebridge remix was also a hit, immediately sailing to the top 10 of the UK Commercial Pop Charts.
“I’ve always loved to sing,” Sasha Anne comments. “I also love to write songs, so I started to record them, and I’m working on the rest of my album.” For her, music is a canvas, allowing her to sketch her emotions, dreams, and stories and then share them with the world. Her latest single, “Looking For Fun,” will drop on October 20 and will be just one of the many songs Sasha and her mentor, Jade Starling, are working on as part of her new album.
Sasha’s talents do not stop there. The multitalented artist gracefully slipped into the acting realm recently, landing her first starring role in the horror film Reed's Point. She also gained a remarkable social media following for her incredible makeup skills, which won her numerous features in print magazines, such as Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, and earned her several nominations for makeup artist of the year.
“I’m able to transform into different celebrities using makeup,” she adds. “I have always loved doing makeup on others, so I filmed doing makeup looks and then started to get PR boxes from brands and became an influencer.” With over 263K Instagram followers hanging on her every post, it's evident Sasha’s not just any influencer. “It's about passion,” she notes. “As long as you're driven, why settle for just one path?”
Her ambitions have only soared as she achieved various milestones. Milan Fashion Week, the VMAs, the billboard charts, movie and TV series, and maybe even the Met Gala; Sasha’s out to get them all. In her world, there is no single box to tick, no single label to wear. As she sees it, why should she have to choose?
