The allure of the Versace Mansion continues as acclaimed New York City concept Sushi By Bou makes its Miami debut in... Gianni's suite.

Michael Sinensky and Erika London of the hospitality company Simple Venue are known for taking underutilized spaces and creating one-of-a-kind experiences. In this case the “space” is Gianni Versace’s former bedroom. And the “experience” is a 17-course omakase orgasm. It begins like this: Upon arrival to the mansion, you “check in” and are handed a room key to unlock your sushi journey. After taking in the stunning mosaics and fountains, you enter Sushi By Bou. The bar only fits four guests at a time. Head chef Wenjie Lian (“Chef Miami Mike”) makes your dining experience all the more enjoyable by taking away what seems to be a luxury of ordering your own food, with a prearranged tasting menu. Lean tuna, Hokkaido scallop topped with smoked charcoal salt—the dishes range from classic nigiri to some you’ve never tried, all gorgeously arranged on Versace china that is itself worthy of a #versaceversaceversace post. After your meal, step back into the lounge for after-dinner drinks, seated in original vintage Versace furniture overlooking Ocean Drive—you might just start to feel like the king himself. 1116 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, 305.922.9195, sushibybou.com
