Valentina Mussi, also known as Sweet Portfolio (@sweetportfolio) is a go-to resource for all things sweets and food in Miami. The Miami-based food influencer has 1.3 Million followers on TikTok and over 585K on Instagram, where she shares her favorite recipes and daily eats.

She is no stranger to sweets, and her newest collaboration is no surprise to her followers. Mussi has partnered with the Bal Harbour Shops all organic Italian creamery, Bianco Gelato on a limited-edition absolutely delicious flavor.

Just in time for the holidays, the limited-edition flavor, Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice, officially launches on December 16.

We had the chance to catch up with Mussi and learn more about this exciting flavor and some of her all-time favorite sweets.

What inspired cinnamon spice as the flavor?

We were looking to develop an unconventional holiday flavor and wanted to stray away from the classic “peppermint” and “eggnog” ice creams. Instead, we figured out a gelato flavor that encapsulates the holiday spirit while being on the more unexpected side. We had over 20 flavor options from Bianco Gelato, but we quickly realized that cinnamon was our winner. Cinnamon is a spice present across many holiday desserts and evokes feelings of nostalgia upon the first bite; it will remind you of your favorite holiday treat, whether it’s pie, tres leches, or rugelach.

What has been the most rewarding part of the BHS and Bianco Gelato partnership?

Other than seeing my flavor come to life, it’s people’s reactions after tasting it. Cinnamon gelato is a bit of a paradox because it’s an uncommon flavor made out of a relatively common spice. After taking that first bite, everyone reacts with an “OMG” face. Like, wait a minute?! This is really good! The flavor speaks to people, and it’s fascinating to see.

What are your top 3 favorite sweets?

My career is based on my love for sweets — I am @sweetportfolio for a reason. So picking just three favorite sweets is hard, but here’s my list at the moment (in no particular order): Tiramisu, flan, meringue pavlova

Can we expect another flavor in the future?

Hopefully! It’s been so wonderful to collaborate with Bal Harbour Shops and Bianco Gelato on this flavor. It would certainly be an honor to do this again.
