As guests cheered from the sidelines, TAG Heuer ambassadors and reigning World Champion Max Verstappen and his Oracle Red Bull Racing colleague Checo Perez put the pedal to the metal during a heated race around the track. Paulina Vega and Madelyn Cline, friends of the brand, were next behind the wheel, racing to the finish line for a chance to take first place on the winner's podium.
“We were delighted to celebrate the inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix with an exciting TAG Heuer takeover in the heart of Miami’s Design District. The brand’s longstanding passion for racing really came alive in this fun outdoor go-karting experience and it was wonderful to see so many of our friends and clients enjoy some lighthearted competition tonight” said Benjamin Beaufils, President of TAG Heuer North America. “We were also very proud to host our partner the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team and their exceptional drivers Max and Checo who shared some inspiring stories. We wish them a fantastic race on the new track, and we will be cheering them on!”
During the evening, Samantha Tan, the master of ceremonies and a professional race car driver, welcomed the Oracle Red Bull Racing drivers to the stage to talk about their race day anticipation, season reflections, and their performance on the TAG Heuer Miami Experience go-kart circuit.
DJ Pedro Cavaliere enchanted the guests from the bridgeway overlooking the go-kart track and joyous audience. TAG Heuer placed a painterly version of Max Verstappen's Oracle Red Bull Racing car with striking textures, team livery, and abstractions of velocity across the great mural wall in Jungle Plaza as a breathtaking background to it all. Among the guests were notable VIP personalities.
Guests were treated to elevated light snacks to salute racetrack favorites. TAG Heuer-branded drinks and mocktails with an exciting twist courtesy of Red Bull were served at the bar, with titles like The Pit Stop inspired by motorsport. Guests enjoyed a unique brand journey around the go-kart track, learning about the long-standing history of the watchmaker in motorsport through a branded container exhibition and discovering the latest TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Red Bull Racing special edition chronographs housed in gas pump-style vitrines.
The TAG Heuer event brought together watch collectors, brand friends, celebrities, and influencers for a true celebration of motorsports and a celebratory send-off to the Oracle Red Bull Racing team as they prepared for Formula 1's newest race.
