Miami Española Way and South Beach continue to expand their culinary offerings, showing little sign of slowing down. Now, the area welcomes Spicy Hospitality Group’s The Joyce and The Window at The Joyce, founded by visionary art collector Andre Sakhai, entrepreneur Marc Lotenberg and esteemed chef James Taylor.
Merging art and culinary excellence, these individual culinary concepts, housed under one roof, are set to bring elite dining to the city. Both kitchens are helmed by chef James Taylor, who brings his vast Michelin-starred experience from Roister and Chicago’s three-Michelin-star restaurant Alinea.
The Window at The Joyce, which recently opened in December 2024, offers an elegant to-go variation on American classics—think burgers, fried fish sandwiches, chopped salads, chicken sandwiches, wings and milkshakes. One must-try dish is the ultimate burger, which chef Taylor spent multiple years perfecting.
“After two and a half years perfecting the burger recipe, I’m excited to offer a burger that delivers rich, balanced flavors in every bite, from the hot griddle technique to the melt-in-your-mouth cheese,” Taylor says.
Made on a hot griddle, the burgers are juicy and have a well-balanced flavor profile. Complete with melted cheese, sauce and high-quality ingredients, the walk-up order offers a dynamic taste with every bite.
While The Window at The Joyce will serve the on-the-go variety, The Joyce offers an upscale speakeasy with a carefully curated selection of menu items. Emphasizing high-quality ingredients and technique-driven cooking, the restaurant offers menu items such as Caviar & Latkes, Two-Way Chicken, Local Snapper Fillet Sandwich, King Crab Scampi and a refined selection of steak cuts.
“With The Joyce, we’re bringing the same meticulous approach to an upscale, Chicago-style steakhouse menu,” Taylor shares. “This restaurant brings together my past experiences in my culinary career into this unique concept… each dish is crafted to offer Miami Beach diners an unforgettable experience through bold, well-executed flavors.”
Leaving no stone unturned, The Joyce’s meticulous design exudes a sophisticated and inviting ambiance. With collectible furniture, the intimate 45-seat dining area exudes timelessness. Top off your experience at the sleek and modern bar, featuring over 100 labels.
Adding to the allure, the restaurant will display a rotating artwork curation, including pieces from Andre Sakhai’s personal collection, standout Picasso and Basquiat works, and works from emerging artists.
With plans to expand in the city, The Joyce and The Window at The Joyce offer an immersive experience with delicious culinary delights. 448 Española Way, Miami Beach, @thejoycerestaurant
