This June, Edge Zones Projects, an artist and volunteer run non-profit organization dedicated to the elevation of Miami’s art environment, presents the second annual Miami Performance International Festival. Through June 30th, artists from around the world will perform music, poetry, and more, while showcasing their work.
“As a contemporary artist in Latin America, it is very empowering to be joining the list of participants,” says Panamanian artist Diego Bowie. “To me, the Miami Performance Festival is a strong platform to portray my work in a different art scene than the one I am used to.”
The four-week event kicked off with a performance by the SMS Ensemble and continues each day with different workshops, events, and performances. “[It] is a growing project that will for sure become an even bigger opportunity for artists from all over the world to develop their work, tells us Bowie, "and to also spread the power of performance art, and contemporary art in general, in a more global scene.” 305-303-8852
