“Get ready to Flamingle Downtown at the Tipsy Flamingo"
Miami vives meet cutting-edge cocktails in a fun and coquettish environment at this new bar located in the heart of downtown Miami. This third nightlife concept unveiled by the Last Call Hospitality Group will take guests on an electric journey to Miami's most daring scene through delightful and unique cocktails.
"Basically, we took the best characteristics of Miami from the tropical ambiance and colors to the sounds and blended them together to create a unique and intimate venue that's rare to find in this city," said co-owner Juan Marcos Rancano.
The 300-square-foot venue at 40 NE 1st Avenue takes inspiration from Miami's natural elements with a color palette of greens, purples, and hot pink. The bar Features quirky vintage palm leaf wallpaper and imitation flora on the walls. The walls are also adorned with various eccentric artwork and humorous neon signs, including one that reads "No Flocks Given." During the day, the bar has guest-sitting and happy hour. At night, the bar has cocktail tables and elegant seats to the right of the venue, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Guests can find local DJs spin an open format style spanning from funk and disco to hip hop and reggaetón every night.
The cocktail menu, created by Marco Balza, can best be described as an "ode to Miami." Each cocktail was made to pay homage to and highlight the character of the city, from the Tipsy Flamingo's variation of the famous Cuba Libre, "Downtown Mentirita," to the very popular "My English Is Not Very Good Looking," which tastes exactly like a guayaba pastelito.
Because they recognized a specific mood missing in the Downtown Miami neighborhood, Last Call Hospitality Group decided to develop another bar concept. "The bars in Downtown Miami are great, but they mostly cater to a specific demographic. That's why we decided to create a bit more of an elevated cocktail concept that combines the fun atmosphere of a bar with the trendy and intimate feel of a lounge," said Rancano.
The Tipsy Flamingo is open Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 5:00 p.m. with casual and fun happy hour, then transforming into an elevated cocktail bar set to the tone of groovy sounds until 3:00 a.m. For additional information, visit the website, and follow the bar on Instagram.
