Want a new do for the new season? Check out seven trends that Miami’s top hairstylists suggest are essential for spring. From pink hair to classic Jackie O waves, you’ll find the one look that fits you.
Whether you want sexy or soft waves, pay Luis Canas a visit at Inside Studio in Anatomy 1220, and you’ll be sure to leave with hair that works for every occasion.
"I think one of the best new looks for Spring 2017 is the Loose Wave. By leaving the ends straight, you create a very fresh and updated effect that is both romantic and sexy at the same time."
One of Miami’s top celebrity hairstylists, Danny Jelaca, thinks an old-fashioned vertical wave is just the 'do for you this season. Trust him—Jennifer Lopez does.
"One of my favorite spring looks for hair was just seen on the spring/summer Christian Siriano fashion show—a sort of Jackie O-inspired resort look. I like to incorporate this look as an everyday style, giving hair a new feel instead of traditional beachy waves and/or curls. To get this look, blow dry using condition natural from Leonor Greyl to protect hair and give bounce and shine. Use a three-barrel curling iron on the mid shaft to ends giving a vertical wave. Finish off with a volumizing spray."
Book an appoint with this celebrity stylist at Warren Tricomi Studio at The Confidante Miami Beach, and she'll give you a more natural look that’s ideal for springtime in Miami.
"This spring, try a lived-in look for both color and style. Go for an enhanced natural texture by using a great wave spray (like the Ouai Wave Spray by Jen Atkin) and a sun-kissed balayage in the gold tones."
If you want a more drastic effect, head over to Bleach Hair Addiction, where hairstylist extraordinaire Luca Castaldo, will make all your color dreams come true.
"The colors to look for this spring 2017 are a mint smokey root paired with an all-over peachy rose gold, styled with edgy texture. It is the perfect spring color for those wanting a soft and sexy impression. Say goodbye to the silvers, blues, bombshells, and leave the dark tones to winter. Say hello to the vibrant, exotic, and sexy colors of spring!"
Need a cool cut? At Sean Donaldson Hair, Keith Ayotte suggests a short bob that works for everyone.
"This shape is a modern and youthful alternative to the classic bob. Adding these soft and light layers with wispy edges can be customized to various face shapes and hair textures."
Owner of LMG Beauty Factory and rock star hairstylist, Leslie Marie Gaensel, wants to bring braids back. It’s the perfect hair to sport if you want to add some jewelry to your locks.
"Spring is all about ease and simple style. Braids are so popular because you can wear them both day and night—but adding the perfect 'hair jewelry' as I like to call it, can take your look from casual to formal in a second. This hairstyle is so versatile and complements all hair textures and lengths, we like to call it the 'Half-Crown Half-Down.'"
The team at Creato Hairdressing is opting for the perfect balayage this spring. With this color combination, any hairstyle will standout, especially an updo.
"Who wouldn't want to go into spring with the perfect balayage? So long winter! Break through the spring with sun-kissed hair. Adding either a whimsical updo or beach waves, the balayage craze is here to stay."
