What Fashion Brands Are Opening in Miami?

Update Your Wardrobe with These 4 New Collections

By Lisa Ferandino | August 10, 2016 | Style & Beauty

From anniversary handbags to boutique openings, there's a wealth of new-in-town luxury shopping to be done this month!

Adriana Degreas swimwear brings Brazil’s hottest looks to Sunset Drive.

Designer Pierre Hardy’s newest Chevauchée Fine Jewelry Collection for Hermès reinterprets the antique period’s horse-head profile with the maison’s signature symbols, like the Lift, Caducée, and Talaris et Chaîne d’ancre. With a spotlight on intaglio, a traditional art form of carving into stone with counter-relief, the baubles use a mix of bold colorways like red, green, and yellow jasper and onyx, and materials like silver and diamonds. We suggest the Chevauchée silver ring in onyx and diamonds for a classic look ($18,400), and for extra opulence, opt for the Chevauchée silver, diamond, jasper, and onyx bracelet ($26,000). Miami Design District, 163 NE 39th St., 305-868-0118.

“We love the mid-century architecture [here],” says Trina Turk of the MiMo district, where she’s opening a new, 4,500-square-foot boutique. Inside, the shop features Turk’s Golden State-inspired ready-to-wear pieces (including favorites such as a bold green dress and brightly hued caftans) and an expanded offering of Mr. Turk. “Miami embraces color, and so do we.” 7200 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, 786-409-4383.

“We wanted to bring [Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney] back to the museum she created,” says Max Mara Creative Director Ian Griffiths of the company’s handbag celebrating the museum’s founder. Limited in quantity to just 400, Max Mara’s Whitney bag re-creates the museum’s façade with a ribbed structure, but now features decorative motifs and floral designs, honoring a portrait by Baron de Meyer of the artful founder in an outfit that Griffiths says “was ahead of her time, as was she.” Like Ms. Whitney, the bag “celebrates independent spirit... at the same time, it shows a feminine side that Miami women will resonate with.” Miami Design District, 106 NE 39th St., 305-770-6200.

Brazilian swim favorite Adriana Degreas opens her first US boutique, inspired by Beverly Hills glamor, on Miami’s Sunset Drive. With pieces that imbue sensuality and elegance, Degreas’s collection features sleek one-piece swimsuits, dresses, and even athleisure, such as the newly launched Private Gym line. Standouts for fall include her collaboration with Havaianas and handmade straw bags from Marrakech. 1563 Sunset Dr., South Miami, 305-363-8686.
