After a successful first event, TUMBAO at the Freehold is back for a second time on Friday, October 22.
TUMBAO is an afro Latino word that helps describe one's groove, rhythm, sexiness and swing, and this celebration is exactly that! With iii Points Music Festival in Miami this weekend, you will never have to search for plans, TUMBAO at the Freehold is the perfect post-festival celebration.
The evening is bringing together top talent to make sure the event is fun and of course, in TUMBAO fashion. DJ and artists performing include Happy Colors, MJ Nebreda, Nick Leon, Sebass and LittleROK. This will be a warm-up for Nick Leon before he hits the iii Points stage on Saturday!
The first TUMBAO event took place last month and the event’s founder and organizer Albert Piedrahita couldn’t be more proud of its success. "We are overwhelmed with the love and support the community showed us last time seeing that it was our first event! The space was filled with huge smiling faces and that is why we do it. Because of the success of our first event, the good folks over at the Freehold have blessed us with the opportunity to host our event on this crazy festival weekend and we could not be happier. Our lineup has been carefully curated with talented artists based in Miami who are taking their sound globally.”
The event has received its first sponsor, Tito’s Vodka, giving everyone free samples throughout the first hour of the event. Doors officially open at 10 p.m. and everyone will be grooving through the night, until 3 a.m.
With almost two events under his belt, Piedrahita is excited about the future of TUMBAO, where he carefully curates the sound and vibe of the evening. "We hope to continue offering the community quality events, an open space for everyone who wants to have a good time and the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. TUMBAO already has plans to take over LA and NYC in months to come as well as to continue booking and showcasing the amazing talent we have in our backyard," said Piedrahita.
Be sure to buy your ticket on the events Eventbrite page and join the festivities.
