One thing we will never get tired of in Miami is good sushi, and Sunset Harbour is about to get one more addition. Hai Hospitality, the team behind the city’s beloved Uchi, is opening the first East Coast Uchiko location, which translates to “child of Uchi.”
Bringing James Beard Award-winning chef Tyson Cole’s dishes to Miami, the nontraditional interpretation of Japanese cuisine takes a new iteration of Uchi’s dishes. The menu, celebrating the artistry of the yakitori grill, offers a robust hearth section employing smoking and curing techniques for both hot and cold dishes—bringing Cole’s groundbreaking approach with each menu item. Taking a turn from Uchi’s clean and fresh flavors, the menu balances the delicate precision of traditional Japanese techniques with a deepened emphasis on the robust flavors that push boundaries while staying true to the spirit of Uchi’s culinary philosophy.

Guests can also enjoy a changing menu of various small plates, expertly crafted nigiri and sushi, wood-fire items and larger dishes such as whole branzino and tomahawk steak, complemented by freshly flown-in fish.
The beverage program takes things to the next level. Offering a curated selection of Japanese whiskies, sake and craft cocktails, the on-site libations elevate each dish, perfectly complementing the innovative flavors that define this exciting new venture.
