Over the last year and a half, Miami has seen a major transition in its resident and their professions. With thousands of individuals flocking from areas like Silicon Valley, Miami is now becoming the tech capital of the United States.
The home of the Miami Heat followed suit, the former American Airlines Arena is now the FTX Arena.
For those who are unfamiliar with FTX, FTX US is an institutional-grade cryptocurrency exchange. With the hope to get our city involved in the crypto movement and trajectory of the city of Miami, FTX US has officially launched their newest campaign, “You In, Miami?”
FTX US has appointed 3-time World Champion Miami Heat player, and a huge part of the Miami community, Udonis Haslem as their official ambassador.
Brett Harrison, President of FTX US, expressed, “Miami is a growing home of the cryptocurrency industry in the United States. We are looking to integrate ourselves into the fabric of this community in order to not only best support the local crypto movement, but all of the diverse cultural and economic enterprises that make Miami unique. Given his commitment to the Miami HEAT and the city as a whole, partnering with Udonis Haslem was an obvious choice. We are looking forward to working alongside him to serve the community and further our efforts to make crypto more accessible to any audience in the US.”
Together Haslem and FTX US are going to work closely together to help to advocate for the crypto space and FTX US within the Miami community.
The campaign will officially roll out at the Miami Heat season opener on October 21, with FTX US as the official “Game Night Sponsor.” This includes a one-of-a-kind experience for all fans in attendance and a campaign shirt with a scannable QR code on the back. Staying in the crypto space, the QR code will provide fans with access to a limited-edition, highly sought after, Opening Night FTX Arena NFT. Those looking to purchase the NFT can do so on FTX US marketplace.
Haslem expressed, “I’m excited to share my community with FTX and work alongside them to increase awareness of cryptocurrency, while also supporting those who I consider to be part of my family, the citizens of Miami. The only thing left to do is ask, you in, Miami?”
Not only is this an exciting opportunity to get the Miami community excited about the NBA season starting, but they are truly embodying what the city has become and emphasizing their commitment to the future of Miami.
