The highly anticipated Velvet Taco has arrived in Wynwood, marking the debut of its second Florida location on Sept. 23. Velvet Taco, awarded Nation’s Restaurant News “Hot Concept,” prepares for its grand opening with additional never-before-seen perks that bring a playful and artistic atmosphere to the community.

The latest restaurant welcomes everyone: food enthusiasts, alcohol connoisseurs, and even the late-night crowd. On Sept. 23., the restaurant will showcase its spacious 48-seat dining room and an even bigger, beautiful outdoor patio. The new Wynwood dining spot highlights the neighborhood’s artistic spirit with pops of bright colors and murals by the Miami-based global art group The Color Dreamers.

While Velvet Taco has already developed a South Florida fan base, the new spot features Velvet Taco’s first-ever cocktail bar. Guests can enjoy the intimate setting while sipping on handcrafted libations. Serving expertly crafted Miami-inspired drinks, enjoy libations like the Electric Lemonade or Spicy Watermelon Fresca.

The grand opening begins at 11 a.m., and the first 100 guests will receive an exclusive Velvet Taco hat and be invited to order from its one-of-a-kind menu. Guests will also have a chance to enter to win free tacos for an entire year, and as a bonus, the first 500 entrants will receive an exclusive Free Taco reward.

Leaving early won’t be an issue, as locals and visitors alike can enjoy late nights there, with hours until 3 a.m. With unique food made from scratch containing only the freshest ingredients, this newest addition will expand the culturally rich environment of South Florida eateries. Merging the art of taco making with Wynwood’s eclectic feel, Velvet Taco arrives on to the scene with globe-trotting flavors.

To celebrate the opening, guests can order the secret menu item, the backdoor chicken, a whole rotisserie chicken brined and marinated in-house for 48 hours before being roasted over an open flame and served with six corn tortillas, three sides and scratch-made heat sauce. Available daily while supplies last, this cash-only exclusive will also be available on Mondays following the opening.

The excitement continues with enticing menu highlights such as the Weekly Taco Feature (WTF), which presents a new taco each week crafted from seasonal ingredients, holidays, and more.
