With the relocation of its flagship Wynwood site to a 7,000-square-foot state-of-the-art training facility in the luxury highrise Strata Wynwood, Legacy, the trailblazing fitness lifestyle brand, is stepping up its game.
The new site will open in early April 2022 and will act as the brand's headquarters. The brand now has six locations throughout South Florida. Members can anticipate the same tough HIIT workouts, top-of-the-line equipment, and no-day-off culture. The brand is known for intriguing new elements like health & wellness programming and a bar serving Legacy's lifestyle beverages.
After a successful and well-rounded career teaching top athletes and A-list celebrities, Manning Sumner started Legacy as "Legacy Fit" in 2008. He wants to establish a community of gym users of all fitness levels, driven by his love for inspiring individuals to attain their full potential. He established a structure in which members are surrounded by an encouraging staff that pushes them to achieve their goals and become better versions of themselves daily. Legacy now has sites in Coral Gables, Doral, Ft. Lauderdale, Kendall, Pembroke Pines, and Wynwood, with the new headquarters being the first of many exciting things to come.
"In 2008, I had a vision for the brand, and although we have faced obstacles over the years, the commitment to that vision has never wavered. Our team, our members and myself as a person have grown tremendously in the last 14 years, yet each day still feels like we are just touching the surface of our potential as a company and the leader in group fitness," Sumner said. "The opening of this new location is another huge milestone in Legacy's ever growing journey and we feel it will give us the proper platform to innovate and influence the fitness industry in a significant way. Until my last breath, I will continue to dedicate my time to empower those around me to be the best selves they can be and inspire people to never take a day off on themselves."
While Legacy H.Q. will have a new look and feel, the brand's essential beliefs and objective will stay the same: to make professional-level fitness outcomes accessible, affordable, and entertaining through the brand's revolutionary Partner Interval Training P.I.T. ® system. P.I.T. mixes HIIT and resistance training to assist members in improving speed, power, endurance, and metabolic rate by stimulating opposing muscle groups.
The workout's intensity and style burn fat faster and burn more calories for up to 21 hours afterward. NO DAYS OFF, the brand's motto, remains as true as ever, sparking a movement that extends beyond the gym walls and into a more significant social movement, cultural revolution, and new way of life. NO DAYS OFF is a reminder to members to put themselves first in and out of the gym. It encourages people to remain constant and focused, nourish their bodies with purpose, and take NO DAYS OFF when it comes to their health and well-being.
Premium Life Fitness, Cybex, Hammer Strength, Woodway, and unique Sorinex equipment will be featured in the fitness center. Cybex selectorized strength equipment, TrueForm treadmills, Versa Climbers, skiers, rowers, heavy bags, bespoke battle ropes, sleds, fan bikes, rope climbers, dumbbells, plyo boxes, and more are available at all Legacy sites. Custom PLAE Attack turf will be installed in the gym, providing an aggressive and durable floor designed to encourage safety and world-class performance.
Members will have access to various recovery, health, and leisure options following their workout, including two cold plunges, a classic sauna with seating for up to eight people, and an IV suite with personalized IV and injectable therapies. Legacy will serve its crafted post-workout beverages in The Pit Stop, the gym's smoothie, wine, and beer bar, genuinely distinguishing itself from other gyms and fitness centers in the city. The low-ABV beers will be crafted with real fruit, electrolytes, and gut health.
The new facility's design will be sleek and modern, with neutral tones, textured walls, minimalist light fixtures, and complimentary pops of color in murals by local artists Yost and Alexander Mijares, whose work can be found throughout Legacy's other locations, designed and envisioned by Sumner and executed by Skywerk Development & Scotty Wonders. To motivate and inspire each member, quotes and affirmations are displayed throughout the facility.
A big neon sign with the brand's motto NO DAYS OFF will hang from the main training area's ceiling, reflected by the exact quotation on the grass, serving as the space's focal point and reminding members of Legacy's commitment to the member experience and community's growth.
Legacy H.Q. will host up to ten (10) sessions each day. Members will have access to a full locker room with roomy showers, dressing space, and on-site parking, making the experience as convenient as possible. The first class will be free, and those interested can sign up on the Legacy Fit website.
