A new exclusive boaters club and Mediterranean restaurant has anchored in North Bay Village, with spectacular bayfront views and a chic interior design by Saladino Design Studios to match. Envision something like a full bar and airy main dining room fit for 110 guests, floor-to-ceiling windows, an 80-seat outdoor terrace area and a 40-seat private dining room.
Helmed by Miami hospitality maven Angel Febres, known for Racket, Drunken Dragon, Foxhole and Casa Tiki and Executive Chef Todd Zimmer, formerly of Prime 112, YAYA is welcomed with high anticipation for greatness.
Marrying Mediterranean simplicity with Miami flair, the menu features an assortment of fresh seafood such as crudo and grilled head-on prawns, hot mezze including flaming saganaki, crispy zucchini and eggplant and standout dishes like the “Uni in Seawater,” Maine Lobster Cobb Salad and Bone-in Ribeye Buttero with salsa verde.
Expert mixologists will be crafting a dynamic lineup of drinks that reflect the energetic and coastal blend that is Miami fused with the Mediterranean. The two signature cocktails to order include the Mediterranean Martini, a concoction of olive oil-washed vodka with red bell pepper juice, a basil simple syrup and lemon juice, and the Honeydew Cooler, a mix of vodka, crème de banana, lime juice and coconut water.
YAYA not only functions as a dining destination, but as a meeting point for Miami’s robust boating community. The private membership club boasts an impressive 14 dockage spots directly in front of the restaurant, where the private dining room—an access perk to members—provides further opportunity to connect over boating and delicious seafood-centric cuisine.
